I can thoroughly recommend Key Constructions and its owner Steve Bedford if you are contemplating any building work large or small in the near future. Steve has completed two houses for us in the last 7 years. One house at Meadows was 670sqm and the second house, which has just been completed, is in Strathalbyn and is 422sqm with the latest house being completed in less than 6 months start to finish.

Steve’s tradespeople were efficient and helpful along with a happy disposition which is a good sign that Steve’s management skills are so high that the property owners are happy as well as the trades, which in the end produces a final building that the customer requires.

I would have no problem recommending Key Constructions to anyone for the planning and building of any property large or small.

Renovations & Extensions

We had been left in a disastrous situation with our partially completed renovation. There had been extensive substanded works, unpaid tradesmen and excessive delays.

Steve Bedford of Key Constructions SA rose to the challenge of the remedial work, not only dealing with the previous builders, creditors and tradesmen, but ensuring prompt completion of a now top quality product that is better than we had ever imagined.

Thanks to Steve and his friendly team for their work in coordinating quality tradesmen in a way we had not seen previously. We felt, and still do, Steve was always on our side.

Commercial Building Project

We elected to build a new print works at Ware Street, Thebarton in December 2012. Tenders were called and prospective builders interviewed. Steve Bedford was tasked as Site Manager and managed the entire project on site.

As the project got underway and progressed through the various stages, we came to know Steve as a very thorough and exacting manager who didn’t hesitate to involve us at every stage of construction as needs dictated. Steve was very communicative and very easy to work with. At several stages during construction Steve came up with innovative, yet practical solutions to problems previously unforeseen by the designers.

The new building is a monument to Steve’s management ability, foresight and capabilities.

We have no hesitation in highly recommending Steve for any site or trades management tasks.

Commercial Building – Architectural Design

Steve Bedford held the position of Construction Manager at Tanti Constructions. His passion for building is evident in the attention to detail that Steve expects on all projects he is involved in. The work ethic that Steve commits to his daily routine is paramount to ensuring that his jobs are run on a tight schedule whilst maintaining quality throughout the build.

His extensive knowledge and experience in residential and commercial building allows him to draw upon that expertise when confronted with situations requiring a level head and in turn providing quality solutions.

This ability to adapt the build to suit unforeseen circumstances is one of Steve’s greatest qualities.

Of the four builders I obtained quotes from, Steve Bedford from Key Constructions was the only builder who recognised my desire to retain part of the house I have lived in for 30 plus years with my husband and family.

This presented him with the challenge to partly demolish and completely refurbish the existing residence.

Thanks to his past experience and expert knowledge Steve has the expertise to accomplish this and in conjunction with his ideas and my ideas we got the place designed and approved by Council.

Steve turns up punctually on site when required and contacted me when any problems arose with a solution already in place. His friendly disposition makes him a pleasure to work.

Renovations & Extensions

I recently had renovations done on a very old home, which included two walk-in wardrobes, an ensuite, second bathroom, kitchen with butler’s pantry and family area.

We chose, and worked with Steve Bedford from Key Constructions SA throughout the whole construction.

We are so happy with the end result, the attention to detail, the excellent work done by Steve’s tradesmen whom were all very particular in their jobs, and also extremely good at cleaning up at the end of each day. Nothing was too difficult and they were a all pleasure to work with.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Key Constructions for any new construction or addition as I am totally satisfied.  I’m now making plans for another smaller renovation which, off course, Steve and his team will do for me.

We had been thinking of whether or not to add an addition to our house in Unley for a while. It was one of the biggest financial investment decisions we had to make and were very nervous about what to expect and which builder to decide to contract. Steve Bedford from Key Constructions was the person we chose, and our choice was very much the right one.

Steve is a very organised builder and always made himself available when we needed to speak to him and always understood what we wanted. His team of tradesmen were all very friendly and had very high standards and pride in their work which is a credit to Steve himself.

The total experience of the build for Maria and myself was a pleasant one and we are totally in love with our new addition.

Renovations & Extensions

I recently restored the front of my bungalow-style house back to its original verandah through Key Constructions. I was not looking forward to trying to organise such a big renovation on my own, but after my first meeting with Steve I felt very comfortable and assured that he understood what I wanted and how to make it happen.

The trades people that Steve organised for this job were of a very high standard and because of this the finished result is magnificent. When I am working in my front garden, people always stop and say how beautiful it looks.

Through the duration of the work, Steve was amazing to work with and nothing was any trouble for him. I would recommend Steve and Key Constructions to anybody needing their expertise, they’re already working on a new job for one of my friends!
